Game of Thrones season 8

Winter is finally over …unfortunately!

The TV series “Game of Thrones” has given new meaning to the term “Epic”.

Most of us are well aware of the endless plot twist and turns, and the next level politics and intrigue that more often than not results in the fatal demises of one or more key characters and the rise of another. Epic drama framed by epic battles set in epic landscapes, is GoT as we know it!

The Production and Post Production of GoT is it’s own epic story that has no equal in TV history and surely command it’s own chapter in future Film-school textbooks.

It has been the good fortunate and privilege of Reykajvik IO’s Jörundur Rafn Arnarson (VFX supervisor) to capture photogrammetry 3D scans of Iceland’s most epic and stunning landscapes over many seasons for this legendary production. We are filled with gratitude for this opportunity and long for the day that we can again work with the great people that is the GoT production.
