We help filmmakers solve creative production challenges and realize their unique visions. In order to do so most efficiently, Reykjavik and Copenhagen Visual work closely together to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.

Reykjavik Visual is a VFX company mainly doing VFXs in the post-production stage
Our main disciplines are Compositing, Paint & Roto, 3D modeling,
animation and rendering. Reykjavik Visual is headed by Jörundur R. Arnarson.
For 20 years Jörundur has been involved with VFX. He has worked on
Icelandic commercials and feature films as well as A-list Hollywoodfeature films and high-end international commercials.

Virtual Production

Virtual Production is fast become the industries favourite new tool, the experience gained from the VR boom a few years back is really paying of the implementation of Virtual set and location shooting from the comfort of your local studio. Reykjavik Visual have been at the forefront of photogrammetry scanning of large-scale landscapes for over a decade, we have build a solid workflow that was originally developed in conjunction with Joe Bauer’s wonderful VFX team from “Game of Thrones”.

We have extensive experience with reproducing large-scale landscapes in 3D
for some of the most prestigious and famous franchises in the World. We
have scanned everything from a human face to an entire Island off the
coast of Iceland.

On-Set VFX supervision and Pre-Production Planning

Many of the more challenging issues that a production team often faces, can
be aided by digital manipulation, insertion, or substitution. Reykjavík
Visual provides VFX consulting to production teams during the planning
stage of a production to help ensure the most cost-effective and most
aesthetically pleasing solution to the issues.
Reykjavík Visual also offers VFX supervision on set, to ensure that all the data and source
material needed to produce visual effects are recorded in the correct
manner. Whilst on set we are of course available for any situation that
may arise. We have provided supervision for several major
international productions of which we have no stake in the actual
post-production VFX production.
