Under the Tree
Agnes throws Atli out and does not want him to see their daughter Ása anymore. He moves in with his parents, who are involved in a bitter dispute over their big and beautiful tree that casts a shadow on the neighbours' deck.
The invisible Tree
Jörundur Rafn Arnarson had the responsibility of supervising the tricky but invisible effect of the placing a Tree that is not there, in the middle of most of the movie. The Gentleman Broncos from Denmark brought the illusion home in post. This was a quite tricky and technical shoot but at the same time a of lot fun. The movie has won over critics wide and far, in addtition to receiving numorous awards abroad and in Icelandic, including the Icelandic Academy Award for "Best Visual Effects".
